Swift wind turbines on a filling station

Renewable Devices Swift Turbines Ltd (RDST) is part of the Edinburgh-based Renewable Devices Group, which designs, manufactures and advises on renewable energy technologies. RDST designed and brought to market the 'Swift' roof-mounted wind turbine, which has a rated power output of 1.5 kW. Trials and small-scale production started in 2004, and full scale production in 2007. The Swift has been sold in a number of different countries, as far afield as Malawi and Australia.
