With 108 retweets, over 100 new twitter followers, 257 fellow tweeters engaging with our #Ashden12 hashtag - with one brief, glorious moment where it trended globally - this year's Ashden Awards week was a truly social occasion.

Below we've picked out some of our top tweets from our conference on 29 May: 'Sustainable Energy for All'. It brought together over 300 participants to discuss how in the UK and Europe we can work towards the UN objectives of doubling both the rate of improvement in energy efficiency and the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix. Our afternoon session explored how we can make the objective of universal energy access for all a reality in developing countries.
